"Blessed are the Peacemakers..."
January 28, 2009
The Culver City, CA. Police Department is mourning the death of Sgt. Curt Massey. Sgt. Massey was killed driving to work when involved in a wrong-way crash on the Santa Monica Freeway. He was a 17-year veteran and recipient of the department's Medal of Valor. Sgt. Massey is survived by his wife and three children. MAGTF's Founder, Jason Pearson, worked with Curt at C.C.P.D. from 1994-2000 and his loss is most definitely felt here in Denver.
MAGTF has constructed this memorial page and we will dedicate a special session of the Denver Gang Summit in 2009 to the memory of Curt. A donation to his memorial fund will also be made on behalf of MAGTF.
We cannot express our sadness and shock at this tragedy, and hope that as a community we can honor Sgt. Massey in our daily lives by continuing the work we do in his memory.
Sincerely,
Officer J. Pearson, Director of Operations
